Why We Support These Charities
From the very beginning, the Buddy & Friends books were created to do more than tell a story. A portion of the proceeds from every book helps support charities that care for animals and children. These organisations do incredible work in our communities, and we are proud to contribute in a small way through the Buddy & Friends series.
Hope Rescue
Hope Rescue is a dog welfare charity that rescues abandoned and unwanted dogs across South Wales. Buddy himself was rescued by Hope Rescue when he was just two weeks old, making this charity especially close to our hearts. After being fostered through the rescue, Buddy became part of our family in July 2021.
Bristol & Weston Hospitals Charity
This charity supports the ten hospitals within the Bristol, North Somerset and Weston NHS Foundation Trust. Having worked within the NHS since 2008, supporting children through this charity felt like a natural way to give something back through the Buddy & Friends books.
The Grand Appeal
The Grand Appeal is another charity supporting Bristol Children’s Hospital, helping children and families during their healthcare journey.
Having worked in children’s surgery for the last 6 years I was keen to support a charity that helped the dedicated staff within Bristol Children’s hospital. I was delighted that Buddy’s Christmas Treat was included on the Grand Appeal Christmas Wish list, profits from these sales were donated to the charity.
Stories That Give Back
