My reason for publishing Buddy & Tilda was to promote discussions on positive dog & child interactions and hopefully raise some money for charity whilst we did this.

I was therefore keen to ‘gift’ copies of the book to places where it might be read and discussed regularly. I was so pleased that my local library were delighted to accept a copy and similarly I was pleased that my local children’s nursery and school gladly accepted copies to read with their pupils. I have also gifted copies to the amazing NHS play teams that I work with around my region in the South West of England; these fantastic teams help children who are in hospital particularly supporting them when they need to undergo difficult procedures such as taking blood or preparing for surgery. Every book I gift I pop a ‘label’ in the front to hopefully share the story of my book to anyone who picks it up in future.

Several friends and family have been keen to support me and also offered to buy the book and then ‘gift’ it to their local library, children’s school or local hospital and so I thought it would be nice to offer them my simple label so that people reading that book in future can see who gifted the book to who!

If you would like to gift my book you would be welcome to use my ‘gifted’ label; please feel free to download a copy either as PowerPoint or as PDF. I simply print the ‘label’, cut it out, write mine and Buddy’s name on it and who I am gifting it to and then stick it on the back of the front page. The QR code takes people to this website so they can hear more about the book and it’s story. If you would like to gift the book and then share your story and pictures on this website I would be absolutely delighted to hear from you and share your story here too! Please get in touch!
