Buddy and Tilda is ideal for teaching children how to be with pet animals, particularly young children who are unlikely to understand that animals are not toys to be played with; it has been not only beneficial as far as my grandchildren are concerned but also a book they have enjoyed having read to them.

Buddy and Tilda is such a valuable and important book to share with children. Really enjoyed reading this with my 9 year old son. We don't have a pet, but he loves playing fetch with a family member's dog. The book encouraged conversation on how to care for/ treat dogs and the need to respect them, plus consideration of how our actions might make them feel.Definitely recommended for families who are getting new pets and ones with young children!Well written too.

I ordered 4 of these books to give to the Reception and Year 1 classes at the school where I'm a Governor. They arrived this morning and are lovely! Beautiful pictures and really sensible advice about keeping children safe around dogs.
